![]() ![]() This is issued where a new circuit has been installed, where a new fuse has been installed in a spare slot on your fuseboard or an existing fuse has been changed and a new cable has been installed. This is issued where work has been carried out on an existing circuit. By providing you with a Certificate they are telling you that the work they have carried out is safe and complies with the Electrical Wiring Regulations. If they are with a company that is either NICEIC or ECA registered and you do not receive a Certificate within a reasonable time frame, complain. If you do not get one ask for it and if they refuse, get the work checked by another electrician. ![]() ![]() They will either give it to you on completion of the work or within a few days by post or in person. It should cost you no extra as any reputable electrician should issue one as a matter of course. No matter what the job, get a certificate. ![]()
